Men, Women, and Sex - Understanding Leads to Success

To say that men and women are from different planets (especially when it comes to sex) is a bit of an understatement. It is difficult to imagine that a tiny piece of genetic material can make the sexes so different from each other, but does. Oftentimes, these differences conspire to make relationships between men and women difficult to handle. For some, these differences prove to be too great to overcome, and a relationship quickly falls apart. However, individuals who are able to understand both points of view, their own and their partner's, will find relationships with the opposite sex to be truly satisfying.

The bottom line is that when it comes to sex, men and women want, need, and expect different things from their partner. The problems that hurt the sexual spark in a relationship occur when one person either fails to express his or her needs and wants, or when another person fails to listen to and meet the expectations of the other. Successful sexual relationships happen when both individuals are able to come to a point where they know themselves as well as their partner. By being able to see things from both points of view, individuals in a relationship increase the chances that the relationship will work, at least in the bedroom.

In terms of sex, most experts know that men are visual while women are physical. For men, sex is all about what is in their heads. It is for this reason that they tend to gravitate towards videos, magazines, and sexy lingerie. For women, sex is all about the physical touch. For them, it is important to be touched, caressed and held, before, during, and after sex. Failure to understand these differences, on the part of men or women, can only lead to one thing - disaster. Understanding these differences however, can have immeasurable benefits for both parties.

Pornographic Videos

Men are turned on by what they see, just like women are turned on by what they feel. Although some women are turned on by sexually charged images, either in print or on film, most are not. If a man wants to prepare a woman for a passionate time in the bedroom, he has a better chance of success by starting things off with a massage than with an x-rated video.
