Use the Power of Your Mind to Break Through All the Obstacles

Ok – let’s do this…

Take out a pen and paper and quickly write down what your top 3 goals are, or the top 3 changes that you’d like to make in your body shape over the next few months.

You might write out a specific weight that you want to be at; or a percentage of bodyfat that you want to get to; or you might want to fit into a specific pair of jeans; or one of your goals might be to wake up full of energy and to have lots of energy all day every day.

But make sure you have 3 really motivating goals that you want to achieve in your body shape or health over the next few months.

After you’re done with that…write out …what’s been the single biggest obstacle that’s held you back from reaching these goals in the past.

Be honest with yourself – has it been a lack of time; a lack of motivation; a fear of failure; ---- what’s been the single biggest obstacle that you think has been holding you back from reaching your goal body?

About 18 years ago, I became fascinated by people who seemed to be able to change their physical appearance within…what seemed like no time at all—when thousands of other people were trying the same diets or exercise programs and getting poor results.

So I began studying these “successful” people – and I set up something called the National Metabolic & Longevity Research Center to conduct these studies – so I studied what these successful people did that was so different from everyone else.

What I found was really interesting—they didn’t do things all that differently.

In fact, sometimes they didn’t even do as much as the less successful people were doing.

They got better results and sometimes did so with less effort.

And here’s the key…

They all understood the power and importance of training their minds as well as their bodies. Whether they knew they were doing it or not, they all used the techniques you’re about to discover.

It’s a fact—all areas of your life are controlled by your mental consciousness, and your physical appearance is no different. Whatever you focus on when you think of your body is what you’re body will end up looking like in the near future.

Warren Buffett once said:

“The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they’re too heavy to be broken.”

Meaning that – you never think your daily habits are doing too much harm to you until, all of a sudden, you’ve gained so much weight that you now feel uncomfortable when you’re standing naked in front of the mirror – or you can’t quite fit into your favorite jeans.

Well your habits are caused by, and controlled by – whatever your dominating thoughts are.

And we’re going to speak a lot about how to change your destiny by altering your dominating thoughts so let’s define exactly what a dominating thought is…

It’s simply the thoughts that you allow into your mind for the majority of the day – so if, every time you think of your body, you think about being fat or out of shape, then your dominating thoughts about your body are going to hold you back from reaching your goals.

Most people know what they need to do to become healthier and better looking but their dominating thoughts aren’t in alignment with reaching their goal, so they have to work far harder and struggle far more, just to achieve 1/10th of the results that they could be achieving if they simply altered their thinking.

Here’s the deal…If we constantly think of ourselves as being overweight or out of shape, then we’ll do things that overweight people tend to do—like eat too many of the wrong foods while sitting in front of the television for hours on end, or head to the kitchen for chips when we are bored.

However, if we were to think about our appearance in a specific way – like we’re going to cover in a few minutes — like envisioning ourselves in perfect shape and enjoying physical activities and healthy foods—then we would, consciously or subconsciously, choose to do more active and healthy things with our time…and our body shape would reflect those new habits.

I’ve said this so many times in my seminars…

I can speak with a person for a few minutes and by listening to how they speak about themselves, and the words that they choose to use – I can tell them what their body will look like in the coming months!


Because your dominating thoughts always shape your body and your life! And your dominating thought always come out when you speak.

It’s a proven fact that you can’t MAKE a “fat-minded” person thin. They absolutely must first change their dominating thoughts. If you put and overweight person on the best diet, they’ll certainly lose some weight. But, within a few short months, they’ll gain it all back plus a bit more – sometimes much more.

-> You see, permanent change can only occur once you’ve altered your inner thoughts.
