Mint Sauce
Ready Time: 2 Min
"I grew up with this in the UK, and this is how everyone made it. I would be surprised if any pub had additional ingredients. Mint has a sweetness of its own, but a little sugar would be okay, if the diner had a desire for extra sweetness - no more that 1/2 teaspoon. Cider or malt vinegar can be used for the vinegar if you prefer. This sauce is traditionally served with lamb."

Mushy Peas I
Ready Time: 15 Min
"Mushy Peas are a great side dish with entrees such as fried cod or savory salmon, and sides like tater tots. Note: You can add more liquid (water or cream) depending how mushy you want your peas. Use low fat milk if you're calorie-conscious."

Old Fashioned Cream Scones
Ready Time: 30 Min
"Very different from the other scones I've had, but just as good, or better! Add variety by putting in raisins, currants, chocolate chips or dried cranberries. These are also good if split open and filled with jam or butter."

Parsley Jelly
Ready Time:
"This is an old English recipe that is especially good on meats. Instead of parsley you may substitute mint, rosemary, sage, tarragon, or thyme. If you can only find dried parsley, use 1/4 cup."

Piccalilli
Ready Time:
"Growing up in England, Piccalilli was commercially available, but none were as good as my grandmother's recipe. This was always a favorite with cheese. It is a good relish to have on hand and would be tasty in a ham sandwich."
